Going from a two-bed, one-bath to a three-bed, two-and-a-half-bath required expert architecture from Christian Dauer. We layered our design on top of his clever floorplans to create a highly customized family home.
Packing the maximum impact and utility into this petite home meant focusing on the details and the narrative carried from space to space. Repeating elements like the kerf detail in the cabinetry and the vertical wallboards helped create a design that feels cohesive.
We kept the color palette earthy and brought in dark accents to enhance the urban feel of this 1930s San Francisco home.
The furniture-grade walnut island in the kitchen is an absolute showstopper. With an open floorplan and limited living space, we wanted to ensure the heart of the home felt well integrated into the adjacent spaces.
